A Gift and a Test From God
The Quran teaches that God created every human being with complete freedom of
choice. We choose our beliefs, our values, our actions, and the direction of our lives.
This freedom is the foundation of our relationship with God — because a coerced
soul cannot love, trust, or submit sincerely.
Freewill is not a burden. It is an honor, a gift, and the basis for accountability in this
life and the next.
What Freewill Means
Freewill means that:
God does not force belief, obedience, worship, or submission on anyone.
Why Freewill Matters
Freewill gives dignity and value to every choice we make.
God’s Perfect Knowledge and Our Freedom
God’s complete knowledge includes all futures, outcomes, and possibilities. God
knows what decisions each of us will make — not because He forces them, but
because His knowledge is infinite.
Yet our choices remain fully free.
We choose freely. God knows perfectly. And based on His perfect knowledge, God
controls everything.
Freewill and the Purpose of Life
Freewill explains why we are here:
Freewill and God’s Mercy
God provides reminders, opportunities, and guidance — not to control us, but to
help us choose wisely.
He knows our weaknesses. He forgives our mistakes. He supports those who turn to
Him.
A Balanced Truth
The Quran presents a balanced reality:
Your Freedom, Your Journey
Your choices matter. Your intentions matter. Your sincerity matters. Freewill means
your life is your own story — and God invites you to write it with truth and devotion
to Him alone.
